The field of clinical practice in optometry only becomes effective when the students are much more exposed to practicals. The aim of the programme was to provide clinical exposure not only in various sub-special fields of Optometry along with their in-house theoretical and practical exposure before the internship period but also to become habituated with Community Optometry practice to make the students familiar with the ethical practice in optometry fields both in hospitals and in community eye camps.
The program was very informative and interesting which enhanced my knowledge about the basic criteria for screening patients in community eye care.
