The Department of Management and Commerce will promote an all-encompassing development in every sphere of management and commerce education and research at par with national and international standards nurturing responsible leaders capable of substantially improving business performance and the world we live in.

Our Mission

The department aims to improve the awareness and knowledge of the students about functioning of local and global business environment and society.
It develops competencies in quantitative and qualitative techniques among graduates for problem solving in functional areas of management and commerce.
It develops responsiveness to contextual social issues and exploring solutions, understanding leadership roles at various levels of the organization and leading teams.
It determines a global outlook through interdisciplinary study and research with the ability to identify aspects of cross cultural understanding.

Learning Objectives

The ultimate objective of our department is to produce commerce graduates who possess the skills, problem solving tools and professionalism essential for being successful. Empowering students with all the knowledge and guidance that they need to become worthy management professionals. The all- inclusive outlook of the course offer a number of value based and job oriented courses ensures that students are trained into up-to-date. In advanced accounting courses beyond the introductory level, affective development will also progress to the valuing and organization levels.

Objectives:

Academic excellence: Our primary objective is to enable every student to cope up with the latest developments in contemporary, national and global level through effective transaction of the curricular and co-curricular aspects.
Socially responsible Citizen: College inculcates a sense of civic responsibility, social commitment, and moral accountability among the students through social activities to with exposure to human rights, value system, culture, heritage, scientific temper and environment.
To Develop socially-responsible commerce graduates with a broad liberal education and prepare them for entrepreneurial and employment excellence.
Commerce course prepares the student to take up challenging endeavors in the current competent global scenario.

Department of Commerce, Brainware University is working on the overall growth of the students as well as the research scholars in various contemporary issues. The aim thrust areas of research are e – banking, employee motivation and women entrepreneurship. Presently the department has 3 scholars who are undergoing their research journey.
