Finding the next step

Once you have completed engineering, what next? To help you decide what to do after B.Tech, the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Brainware Group of Institutions and Brainware University organized a Workshop titled “Career Opportunity after B.Tech. and How to Prepare Yourself” on June 24,2021 from 2:30 PM. Shubhendu Rajak (Junior Engineer, Steel Authority of India Limited, IISCO Steel Plant) was the guest speaker for this event.

“With a huge number of career options available, it is natural that you may feel confused about which one to select,” initiated the speaker. Rajak explained to the aspirants that the Indian job market is saturated with engineers and it is absolutely necessary to decide which career opportunity to choose. He claimed that it is always easier to get a job through campus placements than outside because of lesser competition.

Rajak suggested the ways in which they can pursue higher studies or certification courses. The students can also appear for some civil service examinations or try for PSU jobs. He encouraged the students to become entrepreneurs or lecturers.

This workshop boosted the confidence of the participants and encouraged them to work hard.
