To make the students aware of the science behind climate change, the Department of Biotechnology, Brainware University organized a workshop on “Climate Change Science: An integrated approach for the field of natural and social science” on May 15,2021 from 5:30 PM. Dr. Arindam Roy (Scientist, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Switzerland) was the guest speaker for this event.
Roy began by suggesting a few ways to protect our planet from natural disasters and global warming. The speaker then shared career strategies to work in the field of climate science. He said “as young researchers you need to keep an eye out for international opportunities. Lots of research internship roles exist for talented students,”
The speaker shared his research experiences during his doctoral and postdoctoral, with the participants. He also informed students about internship available globally for studying climate science, because it may provide opportunities -for students in near future
Finally he ended the session by advising students to “read, learn, and grow. Remember to question everything because that’s going to take you far in life”, he said.
