The pandemic has forced us to re-define the university experience but Brainware University has remained unshakable in our commitment to students. To ensure that our students receive the accolades they deserve and receive the best possible send offs, the Brainware University Third Annual Convocation 2021 was held on April 24, 2021 from 11 AM.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of our chief guest Professor Anuradha Mukhopadhya (Chancellor, Diamond Harbour Women’s University) and our Guest of Honour Dr Gautam Das (Professor, Lakehead University Canada).
After the performance of Saraswati Vandana, Professor Sankar Gangopadhyay delivered the convocation address and paid tribute to the invincible spirit of our healthcare workers and educational institutions which are in their own ways waging war against the COVID-19 pandemic. He urged students to be responsible citizens and flag bearers of progress for our country. “Our work is done now, you are the ones who have to make sure that you pay respect to your alma mater by remaining steadfast in your pursuit of professional excellence. Do no wrong and let no wrong be done in your presence,” he said.
Professor Anuradha Mukhopadhya and Dr Gautam Das too had sage words of advice for our students and they encouraged them to be upstanding human beings. Professor Mukhopadhya said, “Child is the father of man it is said, let it be known through your conduct and your words that you embody the spirit of your university.”
After the felication of university topper Saptaparni Sarkar and other toppers from respective batches, the programme came to an end with the the National Anthem. We wish all our students a successful ride ahead in all their endeavours.
