Perfect your dream design

A good design can help launch the product of your dreams. To help students perfect their product design and prototypes The Institution’s Innovation Council of Brainware University organised a One-day Workshop on Process Design and Development-prototyping on March 31, 2021 at 3:30 PM. Mr Rajesh Dey (Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Brainware Group of Institutions) was the guest speaker for the event.

He began the discussion by demonstrating how to take an idea from concept to end product. “It’s a journey from ideation to production and you need to take stock at each stage. You need to consider the advantages and market potential of each stage. Seek help if you don’t have the skills,” he advised.

When asked how to start with creating a prototype Mr Dey suggested, “You can start designing and engineering after your ideas and concepts have been defined. A weak idea will only lead to a weak product,” he said

The session came to an end with Mr Dey sharing product development resources for students. He concluded that “passion alone isn’t enough. Research and work towards building a successful product,” he said.
