Online Workshop : Intellectual Property Rights

Helping create leaders for the startup future

To inform the students about the different ways to protect intellectual property rights the Incubation center of Brainware University held a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights with Dr. Bhupal Bhattacharya as the guest speaker on March 30, 2021 at 2.00 PM.

He started the discussions by highlighting the importance of IPR. In the age of startups Intellectual Property Rights( IPR) has become more important since the market thrives on novelty. “Everyone wants a new company to present something entirely new. If you can’t bring innovation to the table and protect it from your competitors, you simply can’t survive,” Dr Bhattacharya advised.

Dr Bhattacharya also introduced the various concepts of trademarks, copyrights, and patents to the students. “You need to be engaged with the latest regulations in order to protect yourself. Keep browsing the net for new cases,” he said.

The session ended with a Q&A session where the students got to ask their questions about the legal facilities available for startups.
