A host of activities to mark 'World Sight Day'

The students from the Department of Allied Health Sciences participated in several events to commemorate 'World Sight Day' on October 13, 2022.

The Optometry students walked in a rally on the importance of routine checkups at Barasat. The students designed posters highlighting the importance of routine eye checkups and other eye-related issues that can cause health problems.

A poster competition was also held on the university campus where the students expressed their take and findings on the subject. The guest speakers, Dr. Amitava Biswas, Director, Sunetra Family Eye Care Centre; Ms Neena Biswas, HOD Optometry, Sunetra Family Eye Care Centre, interacted with the students and were highly impressed by the poster exhibition.
