Brainware University signs MoU with S.D Industries; FOSTAC training programme attended by Biotechnology students

The Department of Biotechnology in association with SD Industries organised a 'FOSTAC Basic Training' on 10th September. Prof. (Dr.) Deborshi De, NLRP - FOSTAC/ FSSAI; CEO, Smart Management Consultancy conducted the session.

The event started with an MoU signing between S.D. Industries represented by Dr. De and Brainware University was represented by Arnab Ghosh, Senior Manager, Campus to Corporate (C2C) Cell. After the signing, the training was conducted by 'DD' which was attended by UG and PG students of Biotechnology and Microbiology.

The FOSTAC programme aims to create a pool of food safety supervisors (FSS) who are trained in good hygiene and manufacturing practices per schedule 4 of Food Safety and Standards Licensing and Registration Regulations, 2011.

While interacting with the students in his witty manner, 'DD' discussed how to blend Philosophy with Science. Through the training programme, 'DD' tried to look at the prospects in the field of Biotechnology.
