A 2-day Faculty Development Program (FIP) to introduce the newly-joined faculty members of Brainware University started on 6th August. The first day of the event took place at the UB-II auditorium. Phalguni Mookhopadhayay, Chancellor, Brainware University; Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharyay, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation); Dr. Suman Majumder' Director Projects, Brainware University, and Mahua Pal, Registrar, Brainware University were present at the event.

While addressing the audience at the event, Chancellor Phalguni Mookhopadhayay fondly recollected the initial days of Brainware when it was a computer training centre in the 1990s and he was determined to do something of his own. However, he was struggling to find students to provide computer training in a 10X10 room in south Calcutta.

Since then, it has been a long journey and Brainware has crossed 32 long years to emerge as one of the most trusted names in the field of academia in West Bengal. Brainware University started its journey in 2016 and is committed to shape the young minds for a better future.

Mahua Pal extended a hearty welcome to the new members of the Brainware family. She also highlighted the aim of Brainware to become the top private university in West Bengal. To achieve the goal, the existing and new faculty members must cooperate to impart quality teaching to the students.

Dr. Bhattacharyay in his welcome address highlighted the importance of working in a team. He further added, "We must learn from each other and grow together!" "When our hands multiply, we can do a lot of things," he pointed out.

A motivational video about the journey of Brainware, from its inception to the present day, was shown to the audience, following which the new faculty members came up on stage to introduce themselves with their respective HODs.

FIP is important so that the new entrants are accustomed to the structure and functioning of an organisation and help them to explore pedagogical processes including instructional planning, teaching methods, classroom management etc.
