Department of Pharmaceutical Technology organises one-day national workshop on 'Handling and application of HPLC method in Pharmaceuticals'

High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is an incredibly useful analytical technique with a broad range of applications. On July 28, 2022, the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology organised a one-day national workshop on 'Handling and application of HPLC method in Pharmaceuticals' in collaboration with Waters. Dr.Dipankar Bhattacharyay, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Brainware University, was the Chief Guest at the event.

Dr. Suman Majumder, Director of Projects, Brainware University was Guest of Honour at the event. Dr. Alok K. Hazra, Scientist, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Narendrapur, Kolkata, was the Guest Speaker at the event and Mr. Barun Sarkar, Application Executive, Waters was also present at the event.

The programme commenced at 10 a.m. Dr. Majumder gave a presentation on 'HPLC – Knowing Your Tools Better' which was followed by a presentation on 'High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPCL) Principle and Application' by the Guest Speaker, Dr. Hazra.

There were 45 participants in the event including internal and external faculty members and students. The session was an enriching experience for the participants.
