Industry visit at ISOEH for students to tackle the cyber security threat

Well, this is a common thing that we often come across while scrolling through social media sites. In this digital age, a threat to cyber security is a very common problem that most of us have faced. In this regard, the Department of Cyber Science and Technology organised an industry visit to the 'Indian School of Ethical Hacking' (ISOEH) at Salt Lake.

A total number of 74 fourth semester students from B.Sc in Advanced Networking and Cyber Security (ANCS) visited ISOEH on 20th and 25th July in two groups. Debraj Dey, one of the faculty members from the department also accompanied the students on this industry visit. This visit mainly emphasised the field of cyber security and its possibilities in future.

Ethical hacking involves an authorised attempt to gain unauthorised access to a computer system, application or data with prior approval from the owner of the IT asset. This recent industry visit was a great opportunity for the students to interact with the industry insiders in their field and to follow the working of this mechanism. They also got to witness some live projects during the visit.

The students were also informed about ii)some specialized topics like VAPT, Digital Forensic etc. at ISOEH.
