The School of Management and Commerce organised a two-day online workshop on 'Systematic Literature Review and Bibliometric Analysis' to encourage the students with an aptitude for research. The workshop took place on July 21 and 22 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m and again from 2.30 p.m to 4 p.m.

The keynote speaker of the event was Dr. Satish Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, MNIT (Jaipur) and Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University of Technology, Malaysia. He highlighted the research areas in the field of business, management and other related disciplines. Dr. Kumar pointed out that often narrative reviews lack a systematic investigation of the literature.

To instigate the students to pursue the field of research, he went on to discuss bibliographic mapping approaches to visualise bibliometric information and findings from a systematic literature review.

The insights provided by Dr. Kumar are certainly going to help the students at different stages of their career - ranging from doctoral students who wish to assemble a broad overview of their field of interest to guide their work to senior researchers who wish to publish authoritative literature reviews.

There were about 131 participants in the two-day event. Sujit Kr. Ray, Assistant Professor, School of Management and Commerce, Brainware University, and Sriparna Guha, Assistant Professor, School of Management and Commerce, Brainware University were the coordinators of the event.
