Charity begins at home! A free-of-cost Physiotherapy clinic in Madhyamgram organised by BWU

An old saying says, ‘Charity begins at home! In an attempt to render services in the neighbourhood, the Department of Allied Health Sciences organised a free-of-cost Physiotherapy clinic on May 28, 2022, at Shishir Kunja in Madhyamgram.

This session was conducted by Sourav Mitra, Program coordinator, Physiotherapy with the assistance of Mr. SK Azher. The services that were provided to the patients at this free Physiotherapy clinic include physiotherapeutic awareness, assessment, counseling, and treatment along with the blood grouping examination.

17 students from Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and BSc in Medical Lab Technology (BMLT) attended the programme. This free clinic rendered services to 32 patients from the neighbouring areas. The hands-on training of the students made them more confident about their professional lives.

Brainware University is determined towards the betterment of society. These frequent initiatives are undertaken by the university to extend a helping hand to the common people of the area and at the same time enhance the industrial knowledge of the students.
