The main objective of this programme was to conduct a free health check-up camp. Also, medicines were distributed to the underprivileged people from the neighbouring villages.
A host of activities took place at the health check-up camp. These included free health check-ups and consultations, free consultations for pregnant, pediatric, and geriatric patients. Apart from that blood pressure check was done for the people from the neighbouring areas and medicine was distributed among them.
Brainware University provided the manpower and various equipment to perform the various health check-ups. The team from Brainware University consisted of a consulting doctor, blood pressure technician and pharmacist. The team also included four students and four faculty members.
The total number of patients checked by the doctor was 36. 15 patients did their hemoglobin testing and 4 patients got their blood group tested. 24 patients were given free medicine.
The students had an enriching experience at the outreach camp as they got the chance to try their hands at everything. Furthermore, this is also a way how Brainware University is looking after the upliftment of the neighbouring villages.
