National Technology Day Celebration

Celebrating the digital age

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Council organised a special Webinar to celebrate National Technology Day on May 11, 2022 at 3 PM. The programme was intended to honor the role of technology in making our world more accessible.

The celebration kicked off with Dr. Shivnath Ghosh(Associate Professor) sharing the many ways in which technology has changed our lives for the better. The speaker made it clear there is not one area of the world in which technological innovation has not resulted in a positive change. We must therefore appreciate the legacy of change and strive to create perfection in the future.

Dr. Ghosh also introduced students to the way in which many of the technological innovations of today have their origin in India and how it is our responsibility to ensure we can foster a rich atmosphere of innovation. “It cannot stop with us. Inspiration and innovation have to be the bedrock of a developed India,” shared the speaker.

After sharing resources to help students with their business plans and models to help create a more self-reliant India, the students on their part also shared their opinions about the future of technology in India and how they can contribute to the nation’s development. We hope to be able to accompany our students in their path to success.
