Workshop on “Social justice to curb discrimination”

The change begins with us

The Department of Law, Brainware University organised a Workshop on “Social justice to curb discrimination” on 05.03.2022 at 12 noon.The Workshop was organised to celebrate ‘World Day of Social Justice’ and ‘Zero Discrimination Day’ to inspire students to contribute towards a more just society. Mrs. Reshmi Rea Sinha(Advocate-on-Record,Supreme Court of India) and Mr. Jayanta Narain Chattopadhyay were the guest speakers for the event. Students of the Department of Law, Brainware University welcomed the guests with a bouquet of flowers. In her speech, Mrs. Reshmi Rea Sinha described the importance and significance of ‘World Day of Social Justice’ and ‘Zero Discrimination Day’..Mr. Jayanta Narain Chattopadhyay shared true stories on the basis of his experience to demonstrate how lawyers can become a force for change.

Mr. Jayanta Narain Chattopadhyay,welcomed all the students to join the profession of law in the form of Advocate, Judge, Law Officer and Academician. The programme ended with a Q&A session where the students got a chance to ask legal questions to the experienced professionals and be guided in their career journey. Together all of us pledged to always strive to do good and end discrimination.
