To memorialize the birth anniversary of the first Minister for Education in India- Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the Department of English and Literary Studies, Brainware University celebrated The National Education Day on November 17, 2021, from 3 PM. The department marked this day by encouraging the students to speak on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s exemplary contributions to the field of education and his role in paving the way for the country’s development.
Students like Ibtesham Mansoor Ansari, Saniya Haque, Taatporjyo Moitro, Lalit Sharma paid their tribute to Abul Kalam for being the epitome of educational excellence through their speeches. “He wanted absolute unity among all the religions, he wanted educated India, he wanted an empowered India” commented Taatporjyo.
The presence and wise words of our Vice-Chancellor Sir, Dr. Sankar Gangapadhyay helped emphasize our cause and motivate students in the best possible way. He motivated our students by saying “ you are the budding people, depending upon your potential, the entire society will be shaped.” He also added that the dreams of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad are at least partially fulfilled by the way students have delivered and shared their opinions.
