Intra-University Debate Competition | Brainware University

Brainware University organized an online 'Intra- University Debate Competition' on October 29-30, 2021. The event saw a robust participation from students in the university with 16 teams participating in heated debate about issues having social and political import. Distinguished judges from Gour Banga University, Hooghly Mohsin College, Surendranath Law College, Raiganj University, Bankura University and the University of Calcutta graced the occasion which was an honour to all participating.

After a fierce battle which lasted three intense rounds, two teams made it to the final stages with Suniti Sinha and Samriddhi Sinha emerging winners and Arun Kumar Biswas and Nabamita Bharadwaj occupying the runners-up position. The students displayed great dexterity with their words and the judges were impressed with the manner in which the participants navigated complex social issues creatively, all the while maintaining a competitive, fighting spirit.

"We were pleased to participate in the programme and to place first is something which was beyond our expectations. It was an enriching experience and we hope for more such events in the future," said Suniti and Samriddhi, the winning team.
