Extempore | Be Spontaneous Series-2

Gain confidence to take on the world

To enable the students to think out of the box, Central Library and Department of Media Science and Journalism, Brainware University organized an event titled “Be Spontaneous Series-2 Extempore” on September 23 & 24, 2021, from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The students got a platform to showcase their communication and time management skills.

The first day of this event started with an introductory speech by Biplab Kumar Chandra (Assistant Librarian of Pharmaceutical Technology). The conductors were Mousumi Adak (Assistant Librarian of Law) and Moutusi Paul (Library Assistant of Central Library). The moderator of this online programme was Mr. Biplab Kumar Chandra- Asst. Librarian of Pharmaceutical Technology. Ms. Bandana Basu, Librarian- Brainware University delivered the vote of thanks on this special session.

In this competitive age, companies demand employees with sound communication skills. Extempores go a long way in enhancing the soft skills of students. This event gave an insight into the fact that extempore can be an effective way to train them for the present scenario where articulating one's thoughts wisely and precisely is of utmost importance.

Students spoke on a variety of topics such as politics, healthcare, education, and others. At the end of the programme, the participants gladly reported that overcoming the initial hesitation gave them the courage to speak up and develop themselves.
