Insights into community and public health: A useful lesson for AHS students

The Department of Allied Health Sciences organised a workshop on 'Community and Public Health' on November 26, 2022. Dr. Alapan Bandyopadhyay, Senior Resident, North Bengal Medical College and Prof. (Dr.) Ranjan Das, Director Professor & Head Department of PSMAII India Institute of Hygiene & Public Health, Kolkata, were the guests at the workshop.

The Indian healthcare sector is infested with a lot of problems but also there has been a lot of strides over the past decade in eradicating diseases like polio, guinea worm disease etc. The guest speakers enlightened the Allied Health Science students about the major concerns related to public health.
