Synergy Medical Systems Zonal Manager highlights why newborn baby screening is need of the hour

The Department of Allied Health Sciences conducted a seminar on 'Importance of Newborn Baby Screening' on November 5, 2022, at the university auditorium.

The Guest Speaker Subhasis Maitra, Zonal Manager, Product, and Business Development, Synergy Medical Systems highlighted the importance of newborn baby screening and why it is the need of the hour at the seminar. "The screening tests for newborn babies are done to identify certain harmful or potentially fatal disorders which are not apparent at birth," Maitra explained.

Maitra started the session by asking the students about their conception of 'screening' and 'diagnosis'. He also cited the reasons for which screening has to be done.
