Seminar on 'Environmental Sustainability' organised by Institution's Innovation Council

With the objective of building clarity for having responsibility towards society and ensuring the implementation of sustainable practices, IIC in collaboration with the Department of Computational Science organised a seminar on 'Environmental Sustainability'. The event took place on October 29, 2022. Saptarshi Dev, Managing Director, Accenture was the Guest Speaker at the session.

The speaker focused on the use of renewable energy by companies for the creation of new jobs. This mindset requires a long-term outlook and regard for environmental impacts in corporate cost-benefit analyses, but achieving this alignment is an investment in a future economy where businesses can thrive.

In the seminar, the students learned about the business need to invest in environmentally sustainable and socially responsible practices, like using clean energy and paying living wages, to secure a better future.
