One-week 'National Level Workshop on Descriptive Statistics using IBM-SPSS'

The School of Management and Commerce organised a one-week 'National Level Workshop on Descriptive Statistics using IBM-SPSS' from June 10, 2023, onwards with the objective of mentoring the research scholars in pursuing further research. This workshop has also been helpful for the students who wish to pursue PhD. The workshop was facilitated by Dr Manahanjan Sahu, Professor, School of Management and Commerce.

In the course of this workshop, the basics of research design were intimated to the students. Furthermore, the students also got the opportunity to hands-on training with the use of IBM-SPSS. In this regard, it must be mentioned that IBM SPSS software platform offering advanced statistical analysis, a vast library of machine learning algorithms, text analysis, open-source extensibility, integration with big data and seamless deployment into applications. Furthermore, the flexibility of this software makes it easy to use for the users of all skill levels.

The workshop was a highly interactive one with elements of exercises, games, simulations, videos and classroom discussion with interwoven throughout the components of descriptive statistics with the use of IBM-SPSS.
