Proposing an emotion detection model; CSE students present at the international conference on 'Current Research in Engineering and Technology'

The IIC in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering organised the 2nd international conference on 'Current Research in Engineering and Technology'. "The main aim of the event is to motivate young brains towards research and innovation from an early age," said Dr. Shivnath Ghosh, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, BWU while giving the welcome address. The 2-day event took place on November 25 and 26.

Dr. Swagatam Das. Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of ECE, ISI Kolkata and Chansung Park, Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning, Research and Development Engineer Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon, South Korea were the keynote speakers at the event.

At the conference, the students presented papers on a number of pertinent topics. One of the interesting presentations was on a proposed model for emotion detection through IoT. Sentiment analysis of proper stock market area in a struggling economy was another intriguing presentation at the conference! Prof. (Dr.) Nibaran Das, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jadavpur University was present on the last day of the 2-day conference and shared some useful insights for the future IT professionals.
