AHS students conduct blood pressure estimation tests at health checkup camp in Chakla

Yet another outreach activity was organised by the Department of Allied Health Sciences. This time the students got a clinical exposure to tests and a chance to enhance their knowledge about certain specific health-related tests. This time the health check-up camp was set up at Subarnapur High School, Chakla on November 14, 2022.

Some tests including blood pressure estimation along with blood glucose, blood grouping, were tested during this activity along with the Refractive error screening, refraction, ptosis and amblyopia screening. The camp was of great help for the local people.

Approximately more than 51 health checkups were performed successfully, and 24 RBS was estimated and 35 no of blood grouping tested correctly under the supervision of professionals. Moreover 38 number of eye checkups successfully completed. Among them 18 individuals were completely normal, 8 had eye drops prescribed, 10 were prescribed for using glass, one individual was diagnosed with retinal disease.
