A large number of saplings are planted every year to ensure a clean, eco-friendly campus. A One Student One Tree plantation drive is organised to boost the green initiative. Bird feeders were installed to promote biodiversity.
One building runs completely on solar energy. The Tata group has chosen Brainware University to launch a nationwide Rooftop Solar Project.
A rainwater harvesting project has also been implemented.
Brainware University has provided free skills training and offered employment at the end of the training to over 10,000 school and college dropouts in collaboration with NSDC, the central and state governments during the past two years.
Brainware University is possibly the only university in eastern India to offer skills training in this magnitude. It has also established a Centre of Excellence in Skill Training on its campus.
With the onset of Covid-19 and subsequent lockdown in March 2020, the university had to stop many of its outdoor projects in areas of scientific research and experiments, market research, retail audit, skill-based activities in various districts and a number of entrepreneurship projects.
Once the situation normalizes, Brainware University hopes to start all these projects once again with renewed zeal.
