Photo-walk

If you are out there shooting, things will happen for you. If you’re not out there, you’ll only hear about it.

October is the month of festivals. From Durgotsav to Diwali, the city turns into a land of Carnivals. To capture this euphoric essence of fiesta around the city the Multimedia Department of Brainware University in collaboration with Photoframe organized a photo-walk on October 6, 2018 from Kumortuli Park to Mullick Ghat, a place which witnesses all the aspects of the festival, from its inception to culmination.

36 undergraduate and post-graduate students, led by Mr. Avik Mitra, walked with their cameras and captured the festal mood of the city from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Seminar on Block Chain & AI

Department of Computational Science and Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Brainware University had organized a Seminar in collaboration with Facebook Developer Kolkata Circle on Block Chain & AI on 5th October, 2018 presented by Mr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Mr. Debraj Dey. AI, or Artificial Intelligence is the theory of building machines capable of performing tasks that seem to require intelligence. And Blockchain, on the other hand, is a system which stores data in an encrypted, distributed archival format. These are two of the biggest technology trends in today’s world. This Seminar addressed these issues in a very lucid manner and answered all the queries raised by the students so that they can be aware and prepared for the recent industry trends.

Seminar on Design and Implementation of Information Security

Department of Computational Science and Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Brainware University had organized a departmental seminar on "Design and Implementation of Information Security'', presented by Dr. Soumya Paul, Head of the Department, Computational Science, Brainware University on October 26, 2018. Internet is growing day by day with its uses. So it is needed to design and implement the new algorithms to make more secure communication every time. The main aim of this topic is to secure the data transmission using symmetric key cryptography with the help of neural network architecture supporting Multilayer Feed forward Network. Here a random key is generated based on the length of the plaintext and is applied to the message to convert it to the cipher text, which is further coded with the hidden layers of neural network to make the final cipher text more secured. In decryption process the cipher text is decrypted with the help of private key at receiver end and the original text is received, thus the confidentiality of the message is maintained.
