ICICI Stock Mind

In an attempt to give the students a first-hand experience of investing and trading, Brainware University has participated in Stock MIND organized by the ICICI direct Centre for Financial Learning, where any interested student can manage a virtual account of 15 lac rupees and create his or her own portfolio. Not only does this educate the students about how the market operates but also gives them important lessons on real life skills, such as confidence, decision making, critical thinking, far-sightedness, communication and much more; thus making them more employable and market-ready.

Possibilities of Earthen on E-commerce

The folk-art of clay pottery is an old tradition of India. We have got the evidence of this art being an old time matter from different excavations in Mohan-Jo-Daro and recently that of Chandraketugarh at Berachampa which bears the prudent testimony of this heritage. This industry is almost losing its brace in competition with artificial fibres and other polymer based craftsmanship. Clay pottery, being the livelihood of many rural people in India, represents the artistic rural India and the products have substantial demand in the urban markets as well as in abroad. The hindrance lies in the path of the products being manufactured in reaching the customers’ hands. Reasons ranges from geographical location to ignorance to lack of knowledge regarding proper market for the product, etc. This can be very easily solved by the use of the growing e-commerce platform. If the rural artisans can access the e-commerce platform they can get hold of a large market at their finger tip. Their creation can be displayed and order generated via web platform and dispatch of order can be done adequately. The poor artisans will gain an economical leverage and a cause to carry out with this age long tradition, which would otherwise be history chapters sometime in course of time.
